Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (Atlas)

Your private 4×4 with English speaking driver will escort you on a Tour of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert and will ensure you have everything you need on your walking holiday tour. Your driver will arrive after breakfast to drive into the heart of the Atlas Mountains to a highly rated guest house with stylish, authentic accommodation. Meet your guide and spend the afternoon Hiking in this stunning region.

Day 2: Imlil

Today you will meet your Guide after breakfast and spend a full day hiking in the Toubkal National Park, stopping for a picnic lunch.

Your walk will take you up to the summit of Outousse (2200m), after which there is a descent of 1 hour to the village of Armed which you will visit with your guide. From here, a short 15 minute walk takes you to a stunning waterfall where you will stop for your picnic lunch. The walk back to Imlil takes just 1.5 hours.

Day 3: Imlil – Ait Ben Haddou

Your 4×4 journey today follows the ancient caravan route from the Atlas Mountains down to the UNESCO World Heritage Berber town of Ait Ben Haddou, staying in an authentic hotel set in the walls of an ancient Kasbah. You will have time to explore the Berber town before dinner on the terrace under the stars.

Day 4: Ait Ben Haddou – Erg Chigaga

Your 4×4 will take you directly into the dunes of Erg Chigaga in the heart of the Sahara Desert with a stop for lunch. This is an amazing drive through lush valleys, desert regions and the palms of the Draa Valley. Meet your camels to trek to our Nomad desert camp where you will receive a true Berber welcome.

Day 5: Walking through the Sahara

Today you will spend a full day trekkiing through the Sahara with our experienced team, stopping for lunch under the shade of a Tamarisk tree, before returning to your Nomadic Desert Camp.

Day 6: Erg Chigaga – Marrakech

After breakfast, your 4×4 driver will pick you up to return directly to Marrakech via a different scenic route out of the desert and back to Marrakech.
