Your driver with private 4×4 will arrive at your Riad to take you into the heart of the Sahara Desert. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains, visiting Ait Ben Haddou before arriving at the desert gateway town of Ouarzazate where you will stay in a stylish hotel with a pool to relax after the drive.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Sahara

You will continue your journey into the desert, stopping en route for lunch. After an exciting off-road 4×4 drive into the desert, we arrive to meet your trekking team and camels for the first 10K hike to an authentic Nomad Camp within the dunes of Erg Chigaga. Enjoy dinner under the stars around the camp fire in the most stunningly beautiful area of the Moroccan Sahara; Erg Chigaga.

Day 4: Full Day Trek – 30K

This is your biggest challenge day.  Set off after sunrise for a steady trek up the high dunes before descending towards the shaded area of the desert plains to meet our team who have set up a full picnic lunch.  Relax in the shade before heading off once more, following the footsteps of our camel guides back towards the camp.  There will be plenty of hot water to shower and rest before a delicious Moroccan meal listening to traditional Berber musicians.

Day 5: Erg Chigaga – Ouarzazate

The final day of trekking sees you complete the 50K with a 10K hike out of the desert via a different route towards the salt lake of Iriqui.  Meet your 4×4 and driver for tea and snacks before heading out to the town of Foum Zguid to stop for lunch.  Continue on to Ouarzazate to your hotel to rest and relax and enjoy a celebration dinner.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Your driver will be ready to take you directly back to Marrakech with plenty of stops for drinks and lunch. Arrive at your Riad in time for dinner on the terrace.
